It never rains, but it pours.

This is a literal description of the weather patterns in Sydney. Though to be even more correct, that should read "pours and produces GINORMOUS LIGHTNING SHOWERS." Apparently I picked a good week to go to Melbourne, it was sunny and beautiful there every day and it was, and still IS, cloudy and rainy here. April showers, blah blah. Except that they probably won't be bringing May flowers, since it's going into winter here.
My very broad and general to-do list for the day is as follows:
-Sleep in
- Cook
- Clean
- Write
I have been eating like shit recently. Part of it was "before break stress" when all of my classes had some assignment or other due, and I was spending a lot of time in the library and generally running around and buying food. I was also sick and not feeling much like cooking. And then there's the kitchen... which is often left gross and messy by my roomies, which does NOT encourage me to cook there. (Who wants to clean the whole kitchen before breakfast?!) And there was the holiday, of course, though I probably ate a bit BETTER because I was buying higher-quality food with actual vegetables in it sometimes.
So I went out and bought actual vegetables and am going to put the kibosh on eating out for a while. Yeah, I still have to clean the kitchen before I use it most days. Me and my fellow 24-year-old roomie will work together to whip the place into shape. I am going to consume an extremely large amount of fruit as it's relatively inexpensive and good for me. I even bought a cheap blender for the making of smoothies, though I am hiding it from the roomies (right in the kitchen! There are cupboards that nobody ever looks in.) I'm addicted to eating/snacking at night so I'm trying to curb that into a healthier smoothie-type fixation.
