Can you spot the Cass?
(For the record - I think those are great pictures, but holy god the combination of acne/freckles/sunburn looks awful. I hate my complexion.)
I had a nice surprise today - after pretty much deciding that it was a no-go this year, I was able to go to the fair (y'know, the ones with the cheap-o portable rides and stuff?) that was in town for the week. This is because my uncle was given a couple of "get on all the dang rides free" bracelets, each at over 25$ value. Ka-ching! He wasn't about to go, so me and my friend K hit that place hard. And I probably spent no more than 15$ all told. Yee-freakin' haw.
I surprised my Extremely Height Phobic (but loving of high places, paradoxically enough) self by going on That Ride That Entails Being Upside Down Fifty Feet In The Air. It was fun, but I was in no hurry to do it again. I went on a lot of rides, though pretty early on my stomach started acting a little funny, and the last ride I went on was the first time in over a decade that my Diaphragm of Steel gave out on me, just a little. I survived the ride (and even continued to enjoy it) but I wasn't eager to fully revisit my meal, so I went home and relaxed for a bit before going to work.
I think I'm suffering from a bit of heat stroke. I'm going hot and cold, alternating between being nauseous and hungry. I drank quite a bit of water while I was out and made with the SPF 45, but I'm just not cut out for that much sun combined with wild rides. (Once again, I damn my complexion.) I'm continuing to drink water and just trying to eat my meals at normal intervals, which seems to be working.
Sleep is going to be sooooooooo good this morning.

Date: 2005-09-04 04:46 am (UTC)I'd love to get a good quality fedora (I'd be willing to pay a few hundred $$), but I don't want to do it through the mail. I want to be able to try a bunch on, y'know?
