I finished my GIANT HUGE project for Sociology last night, which is worth 40% of my total grade; this morning I did a presentation on it, which was worth 10%. One fell swoop and my coursework for that class is over!*
Today I'm kind of brain-dead because I stayed up a bit late working on it (though 3AM isn't THAT late for me), and then I was all wired and couldn't get to sleep. But I wasn't thinking about the project - oh no, my mind was abuzz with the awesomeness that is Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. It's obvious that my brain is in analitical-mode, because I was essentially laying there in bed, mentally composing a paper about it. I may actually write this paper at some point, exactly as I would do for an English paper (but with more emotion, because dude, this is FUN.)
In spite of my strung-outedness, I'm not letting myself off the hook yet today on the schoolwork front. I need to do some preliminary research for one class, make a blog entry for another class, brainstorm and do some re-reading for a third. Thankfully there's no rehearsal tonight, so this amounts to light work. Hopefully I can relax a bit, catch up on my NaNoWriMo wordcount, and make myself go to bed at a reasonable time.
The real fun begins tomorrow when the final few rehearsals for Chicago kick into high gear. This happens to coincide perfectly with some heavy-ish research, the writing of a paper, and the studying for a midterm, all of which need to be done for Tuesday/Wednesday - otherwise known as "dress/tech rehearsal" and "opening night". Yeep.
On that note, I am going home to nap for a bit.
* Well, barring a re-write of the paper, which may or may not be necessary. I don't think it's a great paper, but compared to the other presentations today it may just SEEM like it. Anyway, we'll see. Oh yeah, and I was analyzing Yoplait commercials. Here they are, in case you're wondering:
